Modal verbs para ser utilizados: Can, Could, May, Should and Must.

01- Can, visto que a pessoa está conversando com sua mãe, o que expressa informalidade na permissão.
02- May, visto que a pessoa está falando com seu professor, o que expressa formalidade na permissão.
03- Should, uma vez que você pensa que a pessoa deveria parar de fumar, e que você não pode obrigá-la a fazê-lo.
04- Could, uma vez que você podia e não pode mais, pois você era criança quando conseguia nadar 25 metros.
05- Should, já que você não pode obrigar Mary a se separar de seu namorado.
06- Must, uma vez que é uma regra.
07- Should, é o que você acha e você não pode obrigá-la a tal.
08- May, novamente, o Mr. Smith expressa ideia de formalidade para a permissão.
09- Can, é uma possibilidade geral. Todos podem ser felizes.
10- Should, você acha que ela deveria. É uma opinião sua.
11- Could, ela podia, não pode mais.
12- Must, já que obedecer os país é uma obrigação natural de todos.
13- Could, visto que a partícula yesterday expressa algo que passou.
14- Must, visto que a expressão sugere algo obrigatório. Observe a exclamação.
15- May, novamente pela situação formal.
16- Can, novamente pela situação informal com Martha, sendo que se não fosse formal, a frase usaria Ms. Martha ou Mrs. Martha.

The publisher was wrong about one thing: Everyone loves Harry Potter- children and adults.
Over 100 million books were sold in 1999.Then two Harry Potter books ( become) movies.
 J.K.Rowling  (write)  three more Harry Potter books after that.
People all over the world want more Harry Potter.And what is J.K.Rowling doing now?
She is writing another book!
